On February 3, in a virtual conversation, Fiona Hill, a British-American foreign affairs specialist and author, shared her thoughts with WDC about Vladimir Putin and his war with Ukraine. Delving into the history behind this current Russia incursion, she expanded on U.S. involvement and its challenge to forestall any more takeovers like Crimea. Hill focused on three Russian “battlefields”: Ukraine; inside Russia itself; and keeping Western society interested in the ongoing escalation in Ukraine. Even after delivering significant information and insight, Hill could not come up with easy answers, saying it is hard to predict the end game.
